As part
of
ISRA's
aim to
become
an
international
platform
for the
discussion
of
Islamicjerusalem
Studies
and to
encourage
young
Scholars
to
specialise
in this
field,
ISRA
presents
this
annual
award.
The
Academy
awards
this
international
prize to
encourage
young
scholars
who have
produced
creative
and
innovative
research
and
outstanding
academic
work in
any
specialisation
related
to
Islamic
Jerusalem
Studies.
The
winner
of the
Prize
receives
is
presented
with a
certificate
and a
cash
prize.
Since
1997
five
people
have
been
given
this
prestige
prize.
AL-MAQDISI
AWARD
In
addition
to the
prize
for
young
scholars,
ISRA has
also
introduced
another
award
for
those
scholars
who have
served
Islamicjerusalem
in a
very
significant
and
special
way.
Winners
of this
special
Award
will
undertake
a
certificate
and Al-Maqddisi
as a
title,
in
appreciation
of their
work for
the
region.
